A Large Full Width Roofbox Ideal For Carrying Bigger Loads
The Thule Force XT - L roof box is the large size in the Force XT range, perfect for those looking for a box that they could use both daily and when they go on holiday with the family. This rooftop box fits to almost any car and is a great addition to mid/large vehicles. The Force XT not only looks great thanks to the AeroSkin surface texture, but also to be tough and durable for that day to day use option.
This roof box has a LockKnob dual side opening, allowing the box to be opened either side. The LockKnob protects the included Comfort Key when inserted and will only release the key when the box is properly closed and securely locked.
The fixings that secure the box to your roof bars drop through the Force XT - L on a slide rail runner, which allows the box to be positioned perfectly on your vehicle. The reason behind this is to enable boot access with minimal contact (if any) between the boot door and the roof box, this just makes life that much more simple with fewer worries.
Securing the Force XT roof box to your roof bars is quick and easy, using the PowerClick quick-mount system. You position the PowerClick clamps over your bars and tighten the knob on the top of the PowerClick Clamps until you hear the 'click'. This 'click' is the signal that you have reached the desired torque for that clamp. Once all 4 clamps are secured, you can load your cargo, lock your box and be ready to go.
The Thule Force XT range comes in a range of sizes to accommodate most vehicles and all kinds of load carrying needs and uses.

Will the Force XT L fit my car?
Roof Bar Spacing (Dimension D)
The Force XT L roof box has multiple roof bar mount positions, check that the spacing between the car's roof bars fall within the minimum and maximum spacing dimensions specified above.
Distance Between Roof Bar Feet (Dimension W)
The distance between the PowerClick roof bar mounting clamps used by the Force XT L. Check that your roof rack feet have sufficient space to allow the bar clamps to fit. (W Out is the overall maximum width of the Force XT L )
Note - If you have T-Track roof bars, the Force XT L clamps can be upgraded to T-Track fittings - this will allow more flexibility in the mounting location on your roof bars. T-Track adapter 6976 is needed for 20mm T-Track slots used by Thule WingBars/SlideBars/ProBars, we also sell adapters for wider T-Tracks used by BMW/Renault/Mercedes)
